It was the gateway to Seoul from 1900 to 2004, serving as the most popular meeting place for citizens throughout the eras such as Japanese colonization, Korean War, and so forth. The festival was held to revive the historical meaning and to capture the new vision of the site to serve as an open art space for the public. This was the second year of the festival.
